I never fully appreciated “the dog ate my homework” excuse until just a few days ago when Jasper chewed up my power supply.
I felt bad enough being out of contact for days at a time during our cross-country roadtrip and camping in areas which had no Internet access, but to have the dog chew the power supply cord within moments of finally picking up a wireless connection almost sent me around the bend.
Until I looked at the cute puppy…
Anyway, the next time you’re looking for an excuse for not having your homework done, or not getting in touch with people, just tell ’em that the dog ate your power supply. 🙂
I feel for you Ros!Our extra cute puppy ate through 2 laptop cords, our vacuum cord, a power sprayer cord, too many sprinkler driplines to count, and anything else that seemed to resemble a cord. Expensive lesson :). Your puppy is extra darling :)!
I can appreciate the sort of emotions you might have felt.
Your story reminded me of this cute little flop-eared rabbit my daughter had.
We used to let it hop around inside the house. It also love power cords. The mobile(cell) phone power supply is still covered in electrical repair tape.
Have fun with Jasper.
“The Dog Ate My Power Supply” 🙂 I like it not my dog ate the power supply but – The dog ate my power supply – never mind look on the bright side Roslind you could have had a hotdog without the bread rolls had things gone wrong with no doggy love and a nice story to share.. maybe your going to invent a product to stop dogs doing that same deed or find one to promote… either way we believe in you Roz you cant keep a good girl down can you..
by the way thats a beautiful backdrop to Jaspers pic.. so peaceful looking.
That is why I don’t own a dog anymore! I guess I’m just not the pet type of person. That beautiful lake would probably have bubbles coming up and an empty dock! (OK, not really, but I would think about it! 🙂 )
You go, Jasper doggie! You’re doin’ yourself proud!
