Hi there, this is a question for Ros if she doesn’t mind.
I’ve got to a point where I have added a fair amount of content and a few reviews onto my site, and I’m posting three times per week. I’ve been trying to optimize my posts using Seopressor, but not getting much free traffic as yet.
I see in the tutorials that you recommend writing articles and taking the step into paid traffic to get going. I really want to get my business moving, my question is do you still recommend pay per click as the best way to get moving with traffic or has that changed now that Pay Per Click is becoming more expensive and that Google seems to have it in for affiliate marketers?

Hey Jon,
So sorry for the long delayed response… I’ve been sick for the past week.
Fitness IS an expensive category to advertise… so if you go that route, find keyword phrases that are highly specific and link directly to an article. Try just one to start.
As for the ‘best’ way to get traffic moving – nowadays I prefer social media marketing. Other than the time it takes, it’s free to use and helps you build relationships with folks who appreciate your message.
Bottom line, I’d rather have 10 motivated people on my list, than 100 or a 1000 lookie-loo’s.
Cheers,
Ros

Hi Ros,
No problem at all, I hope you’re feeling better now.
I think I will avoid ppc for the moment then and try to get the free methods working for me first. I may give it crack when I start earning a bit of money!
I’ve recently submitted my site for a video review, so look forward to your feedback.
Thanks Ros

Hi Jon,
Thanks for the good wishes… this seems to be the world’s longest-lasting cold. Probably doesn’t help that I’m traveling at the moment as well.
Thanks for the reminder about the video review! I’m going to be mostly offline for the next week or so… so perhaps in the meantime you could post a site review request for our members?
Here are a few points..
change your favicon
what happened to the list properties in your popular articles and footer info?
I think YOU should position yourself as the home fitness pal, e.g. Jon Allmark’s homefitnesspal. Make some vids of you using the products you promote.
Just some thoughts.
Cheers,
Ros

Oo yes, didn’t think of asking the forum! I’ll take a look at those points you gave, then ask for a review off the forum, thanks for that Ros.
Enjoy your traveling!
Jon.
