Hi all,
I’m after a bit of advice please. When writing blog posts should I always be writing around a keyword? I’m a bit worried that concentrating too much on writing a keyword could affect the way my writing comes across. I’m also worried that because of my keyword list I might end up writing too many articles with similar content.
Thanks for any advice!

Hi Jon,
In Ros’ tutorials, she had mentioned “Write for People, NOT the Search Engine“, you can read the tutorial here.
Personally, I find it is easier to write according to what my readers’ needs, wants and problems. The article will be more value added than a keyword-stuff essay. But not to forget SEO aspect, I would normally run through my post again after I had finished and replaced some words with my primary or secondary keywords.
I remember there was a SEO tool mentioned in the tutorial somewhere that could help in the writing process but somehow I just couldn’t find it now. I think it could be SEOPressor , maybe other members can help to clarify.
You can check out the tool if it could help you better.

Hi Jon and Lynn,
The tool that Ros mentioned is called ScribeSEO, from the same people that came up with the Studiopress themes. I bought it last week and it’s a fantastic tool. It will give you recommendations on the density of keywords in your article, the number of hyperlinks, and even how your should word your tag title and description. I’m a newbie as far as SEO is concerned but ScribeSEO is slowly turning me into an expert .
BTW, I got a huge discount for ScribeSEO because I use the Genesis themes.

Hi Lynn and Carlo,
Thanks for your responses, that helps me a lot. i had picked up on trying towrite for my readers, but then had some advice of someone else saying i had to get my posts ranked for seo, which worried me.

Hi everyone,
I do exactly the same when I write my posts and pages, I write from the heart and then I go back and change some words to get a higher keyword density if it is too low.
About the plugins, I had SeoPressor first, then I tried Scribe, but I cancelled it because I preferred SeoPressor. This is just my personal opinion.
They both do much of the same, but for SeoPressor you pay a one time price $97 for a licence and you can use it on as many blogs as you like. Scribe has a subscribtion deal, so you will be charged each month and will probably be more expensive in the long run. Both has a trial period. Test both and see which one you like best before you decide

Thanks Carlo, it does ring a bell now!
I’m a newbie as far as SEO is concerned but ScribeSEO is slowly turning me into an expert .
This is a very persuasive statement, any newbies will find it hard not to resist the tool. You can do a review of this tool in your blog, I believe you sure generate some income from it.
And thanks Kristin for sharing, I didn’t know ScribeSEO is subscription based but I’m also like you, I tend to like SEOPressor better as I had read many good reviews on it. It is in one of my to-purchased list as there are more and more tools I wanted to buy everyday. But good to know it has trial period, definitely will try it out before purchase.
Thanks again.

Thanks Kristin and Lynn for mentioning SEOPressor. It does look impressive functionally and add to that the one time payment. I might consider it someday
